The final flight in this $100,000 guaranteed $600 Run it Up Reno Main Event has wrapped up and Dustin Pak is the leader to end the day, bagging 278,500. The next closest stack appears to be Ryan Jones with 225,500 with Thursday Thrilla Champion, Steve Nevius, rounding out the top three with 223,000.
The day started out with 45 runners but quickly increased, ballooning to a whopping 203 entries today alone, combining with Day 1A's total of 181 to make up 384 entries, a record for Run it Up Reno! The prizepool swelled to a record-breaking $207,360, with payouts being posted later in the night right here on RunitUp.com.
Joe 'The Professional' Wagner managed to hang on to the massive stack he built before dinner and finished the day with 187,000 chips. He won a big pot with a full house against Babe Prescott's nut flush and never really looked back.
Some of the players who fired this Main Event but did not make it through include Deborah 'QueenBee' Vanneste, Jimmy Cappucci, Andy Camou, Vanessa Kade, and Max and Eugene Zelensky.
Boston Rob Mariano entered sometime after dinner and immediately ran up a stack. He was chasing Tyson Apostol's massive Day 1A stack, but had to settle with 115,000. Dan O'Brien fired Day 1A and didn't make it through, but took a chance on 1B with about 25 minutes left in the night. He got it in with ace-six but ran into Ed Yang's aces. He immediately re-entered just in the nick of time and bagged a starting stack of 25,000.
Local grinder, Andy Joros, has informed us that he is the "bottom bagger" with 12,500 chips. His spirits are high, though, and he will be back to try and spin it up tomorrow.
Payouts and seating assignments will be posted right here later in the night. Be sure to keep following the blog all through tomorrow as we crown a RIU Main Event champion!
