On a board reading [qh4s4d], with about 9,000 in the pot, Marty Gorenc checked from the big blind and Joe 'The Professional' Wagner bet 2,000. The player in late position folded and Angelo Karatsas called from the cutoff. Gorenc folded.
The turn was the [tc] and Wagner led out for 3,500 this time. Karatsas called again. The river was the [ah] and Wagner thought for a moment before leading out for 5,600. Karatsas tanked and eventually called. "Kings" announced Wagner, tabling [kskc]. Karatsas mucked his cards, sending the pot to Wagner.
Wagner now has an impressive stack of 210,000 chips and the dinner break isn't even here yet!
Earlier in the day, Babe Prescott had about 140,000 chips at Wagner's table. He tells us that Prescott flopped the nut flush at the same time he flopped a set of fives. They got all of the money in, but the board paired on the turn to give Wagner a double up from 80,000. Prescott was left with just 20,000 and was eliminated at the hands of Wagner a short while later.
Wagner's nickname is 'The Professional'. Nobody really knew why until now, but I think we're getting the hint...!
