Registration is not closed yet, but the eliminations are coming it at a somewhat steadier clip. The field is up to 169 with 145 players remaining.
If you can't tell from the expression, Brent Harrington is one of the early eliminations. Don't fret though, Brent. The PLO event is just three hours away.
The good news for those still in the event is they have the chance to be the winner of the biggest Kickoff event in Run It Up history, besting last April's record number, 169. There is a big difference this time around though. That event had a buy-in of $125, while this one is almost double that at $235.
With the bigger buy-in, we have another record. This is the biggest prizepool for a preliminary event ever at almost $35,000 and counting! Reno locals are calling to see if they can make it here before late reg closes to get in on the action. They've got one level to get here.
If you miss out though, don't be sad like Brent. Be happy, because this kind of turnout for the first event bodes well for a busy week of poker action.
