In just five quick hours, Michael Coombs claimed victory in Event #3 $125 NL All-in or Fold $50 rebuy tournament for $3,460 and his first Run It Up gold trophy!
Heads-up play lasted just one hand, much to nobody's surprise given the "all-in or fold" format in this tournament. Coombs tabled ace-king while Ryan Schuler revealed ace-queen for a cooler. The board ran out dry and Coombs earned himself his third-career live tournament win. Schuler settled for $2,305 for a nice return on his investment.
This tournament attracted a total of 75 entries with 120 rebuys, good for a prize pool worth $13,500. The guarantee on this event was set at $10,000, making this yet another successful event for a great start to the first day of Run It Up Reno!
Notable players to make the money included Vincent Newland (10th - $430) and Randy 'Nanonoko' Lew (12th - $405).
Among the players to hit the rail in this fun event were Jason Somerville, Patrick Tardif, Jesse Capps, Jeff Gross, Harry Corvese and Mack Tang.
