Kamil Nagji wins the 3-Card Super Hold’em Event

Out of a field of 172 entries, Kamil Nagji has found himself victorious in the $125 3-Card Super Hold’em Event for $3,959 after a heads-up chop. The poker player from California came in to the final table as the chip leader and never let up, going wire-to-wire to win his first live recorded tournament.

“I’ve had a really tough year personally” explained Nagji. The passion was apparent in the newly-crowned Champion’s voice as he explained how things have been going. He has been traveling and trying to move on from what has been a tough year, and poker seems to have been a bright light in his life. “I went to Cherokee and played there – I did okay” continued Nagji. The 3-card Champion plans on traveling for almost the next 100 days to live the dream and find his way again.

The tournament ended up with 172 entries for a prize pool worth $16,684. The final two players, Nagji and Winfield Tenda, chopped it up and Nagji took the bigger half along with the trophy. This is just Nagji’s second live recorded tournament cash and first win, bringing his overall earnings to just under $5,000.
