Day 6: Working For The Weekend

Today is the sixth day of competition of Run it Up Reno, and it's sure to be the biggest one yet! As those who couldn't make it from their 9-to-5s get off of work, now they can finally try to make some 9-to-5 straights!

On the docket for today is Day 1B of the Main Event, which is the final chance for players to try to make it to the second day of the Main (with Day 3 and the final table conclusion occurring on Monday, October 31). Players begin the $600 No-Limit Hold 'Em event with 25,000 in tournament chips. Play will proceed through 12 40-minute levels and several breaks. Last night's Day 1A, which is currently being led by Jesse Capps, ended around 9:45pm, so tonight will likely be similar. Capps is having one hell of a series so far: He has a win in the Black Chip Bounty Knockout event as well as a 3rd last night in the Big Antes after he bagged, plus a 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th place finish for a whopping six final tables so far! We'll see if anyone in today's Day 2 can catch up to his 241,600 in the Main.

Later, the $125 NLH/PLO Mix 6-Max event at 5pm and the $85 Team Event at 8pm are also sure to attract newcomers who have just come in for the weekend.

Tonight also will feature the final mini-seminar with Jason, as he welcomes Dan "DanOBrienPoker" O'Brien! Dan has nearly $3 million in live cashes and plenty more top tournament finishes online, in addition to being one of the most fascinating personalities in poker, so it's sure to be a good time.

We'll see you on the felt at Run it Up Reno!
